Registration open 1st March via Comps-Online.


By registering in a Spotlight Dance Competition, you acknowledge that you have read and agreed to the terms outlined in the rules.

ENTRY FEES

Troupes: $40.00 per item

Competitor Pass: $20.00

(paid once per dancer)

AGE GROUPS

Ages must be taken as at 1st January 2026.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • All music must be uploaded via Music Uploads by the cut-off date. Studios will receive upload instructions one month prior to the event.

    Teachers must also bring a backup device (e.g. phone, laptop, or iPad) that can connect via AUX cord. Please ensure all tracks are downloaded and accessible offline. Do not rely on internet connectivity at the venue.

    TIME LIMITS
    Troupe sections: Maximum of 5 minutes per routine.

  • Adults:
    • Per session: $15.00
    • Per day: $40.00


    Children under 14:
    • Per session: $10.00
    • Per day: $20.00
    Children under 4 are free

  • No. In 2026 we will only be running our two troupe days.

    • Props are permitted if the competitor/teacher can place and remove them safely on and off stage within 1 minute.
      Please be mindful of how much space your props will take up backstage. It is a shared area and space is needed for everyone, including marshalling of competitors.

    • Props are not the responsibility of the organisers.

    • No breakable props are allowed, e.g. mirrors, glass, ceramics.

    • No props that can damage the stage are permitted. This includes, but is not limited to paint, chalk, glitter, sand, gel.

    • Performers/teachers must be prepared to completely clean the stage within 1.5 minutes if they have use of any loose items such as confetti, feathers, petals etc.
